American Center James Gist (206-C-1986) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Prawira Bandung, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4 (Qualifying Round).
The 37-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Khuleguud (#3, 1-3) 94-83. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Prawira to take over top position in the Basketball Champions League Asia. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this stage. Prawira has a very solid 3-1 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Gist had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Prawira, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former University of Maryland star has very solid stats this year. Gist is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 9.0rpg) and averages impressive 1.5bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Kevin Allen (211-C-1994) of league's second-best Hitech Bangkok City. Allen had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Hitech was edged by NS Matrix (2-2) 96-93. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Hitech still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 2-2 record is not bad at all. Allen is one of the most experienced players at Hitech and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.8ppg (#4). He also registered 12.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Taishaun Johnson (183-PG-1994) of Negeri Sembilan Matrix (#3). Johnson showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists in the last round. He was a key player of NS Matrix, leading his team to a 96-93 win against #2 ranked Hitech. NS Matrix needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Johnson has a great season in Basketball Champions League Asia. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.0ppg (5th best) and assists with 6.3apg (best passer). Johnson attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
